Things you may or may not know about Google

A few thing’s you may or may not know about google

Google history started  at a 5,000-watt radio station in Fresno, California and was two guys from the university of Stanford. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both entered the Stanford computer science graduate program and began to collaborate. By 1998 both of them were trying to sell their technology to yahoo and other search portal’s but they had no takers. So they both made up a business plan and found a major investor in the form of Andy Bechtolsheim, one of the founders of Bechtolsheim wrote Larry Page and Sergey a check for 100,000, and google, inc. Was born.

Since then, Google has continually expanded the size of its website index and introduced additional features and service even their own wireless company and brand such as Motorola and Nexus. Google brand Nexus already has tablet, phones and accessories already out, and the demand for their latest Smartphone the Nexus 5  is already SOLD out.

As of resent google has made more helpful features, service and product that organize information and make it more accessible and more useful for everyone.

As l told you before Google has more than a search engine and most of what l am talking about is on the www.google.com search page when you sign in to Google, ‘’and that my friend is apps’’, google apps, If you don’t know by now google has apps and most of them you can access on the search page of google in the top right side corner theirs helpful and useful apps to collaborate with your search such as google gmail, maps, google drive, google doc and calender you can even set up your own search home page on google and customize your homepage the way you want it with Google.

Google the website is just one product of  Google, Google owns sites such as YouTube and Blogger there are many apps, Smartphone, tablet, computer, tools and much much more than you  think you know.

Google is an American multinational corporation Providing useful  ways and tools for  Internet-related services and products. These include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software.

The Google mission statement is this as l quote ‘’google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful’’ and to be honest the folk’s at google are allowed to take a little license with their own mission statement; there's no law that say’s you have to lay out all your goal’s and strategies for the public (and competitors),
To uninformed people, it’s also somewhat descriptive of what the company actually does.

Google has another new company called Calico which will be led by Apple chairman Arthur Levinson. In the official public statement, Page explained that the "health and wellbeing" company will focus on "the challenge of ageing and associated diseases in 2004, Google acquired Keyhole, Inc. [87] The start-up company developed a product called Earth Viewer that gave a three-dimensional view of the Earth. Google renamed the service to Google Earth In 2010, Google Energy made its first investment in a renewable energy project, putting $38.8 million into two wind farms in North Dakota.
The company also announced the two locations will generate 169.5 megawatts of power, enough to supply 55,000 homes. The farms, which were developed by NextEra Energy Resources, will reduce fossil fuel use in the region and return profits. On June 5, 2012, Google also announced it acquired Quickoffice, a company widely known for their mobile productivity suite for both yours and Android. In 2011, Google announced Google Wallet, a mobile application for wireless payments.

August 15, Google announced an agreement to acquire Motorola Mobility, based in Libertyville, Illinois, for $40 per share. Both companies’ boards of directors have approved the deal. Google and Motorola Mobility together will accelerate innovation and choice in mobile computing.

Consumers will get better phones at lower prices.
The Motorola Mobility’s patent portfolio will help protect the Android ecosystem. Android, which is open-source software, is vital to compete in the mobile device space, ensuring hardware manufacturers, mobile phone carriers, application developers and consumers all have a choice.

Google is  now buying Skybox Imaging, a satellite imaging company that could improve the Internet giant's maps.
Google said it is buying Skybox for $500 million in cash.

Google also has android, Android is an operating system based on the Linux kernel with a user interface based on direct manipulation, designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as Smartphones and tablet computers.

The operating system uses touch inputs that loosely correspond to real-world actions, like swiping, tapping, pinching, and reverse pinching to manipulate on-screen objects, and a virtual keyboard. Despite being primarily designed for touchscreen inputs, it also has been used in televisions, games consoles, digital cameras, and other electronics.
