Chrome OS vs Windows

Note on Thursday, it seemed like the inevitable was finally coming to pass. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that by 2017 the two operating systems would largely become one, Google android and chrome OS combining as one.

 Chrome OS

Chrome OS is an operating system made by Google and the OS is on laptops and Google chrome books. . People who are new to Google chrome sometimes get confused with the Chrome OS and the Chrome Web browser. Google based the look of Chrome OS, its operating system for Web-based applications, on the Chrome Web browser. But just like On the Apple front, the Cupertino Company insists that it still makes sense to have two different computer platforms. It's got the super-simple iOS for touchscreen smartphones and tablets. Then there's the more powerful OS X for desktop computing pros so Google has that same process but when you start using it for the first time. Note just remember Google chrome OS is like Internet Explorer only meant for laptops but for tablets and smartphones theirs chrome web browser that has all the things you did on the chrome OS laptop sync to your smartphone or tablet chrome web browser .Chrome was the first major Web browser to combine the search box and the address bar, a feature that most competitors have since adopted. It also allows users to sign in with their Google accounts, which enables them to sync bookmarks and open Web pages across multiple devices. In 2010, Google launched the Chrome Web Store, an online marketplace where users can buy and install Web-based applications to run inside the browser. These apps are available as either browser extensions or links to websites. When you have Chrome OS on your laptop you can take use of this.

And when you do anything on your Chrome OS computer you can do on any other device that support Google chrome or the chrome browser. Google chrome OS have apps like Gmail, Google plus, and Google doc yes Chrome books, have their own apps from Google Which is probably why Android has a bustling app store, filled with movies, games, and all manner of tools, while the Chrome Web Store is something of a wonderland., All these you can access from the Google chrome browser itself.  As of march 2014 about 43 percent of the world use Google chrome browsers making it the most widely used web browser in the world. Customize and personalize your browser by installing web apps, themes and extensions. Sign in to chrome and take your web browser, with you on your computer, phone or tablet anywhere you go so when you use Chrome OS on your laptop in sync automatically to other devise you have because even thou smartphone does not have chrome OS it has a chrome browser so everything you do on your chrome browser on your laptop you can do on other devise long as it has chrome browser which all device can get .There's chrome for iPhone available for  iOS 6.0 or later and chrome for Android devices available on 4.0,ice cream sandwich or later.

Play new games optimized specifically for Windows 10. And easily record and share your most epic gaming moments with built-in Game DVR. From the best casual games to a new generation of PC gaming, Windows 10 is built for the games you love.

Windows 10 is so friendly and familiar — with lots of similarities to Windows 7, including the Start Menu — that you'll feel like an expert from the get go. Windows 10 was developed using feedback from millions of people, so you can feel confident that Windows 10 works the way you want it to.

Additionally, Windows 10 helps you stay current with great features and Microsoft's latest protection against viruses, phishing and malware.

But last year of 2014, Microsoft turned all of that on its head. The company started offering Windows for far cheaper to manufacturers building inexpensive laptops. (We're not sure exactly how much; the terms of those deals are secret.) In response, companies like HP started making decent Windows notebooks you could buy for as low as $200. That means that now, for just $50 more than the lowest cost Chrome book, you can get a PC running a "Windows" OS and has an hard drive but Google on the other hand refuse to put hard drives on their Google chrome book computers which is smart idea to me but anyway -- a Windows computer that'll be compatible with all your Windows applications, instead of a Chrome book that only browses the Web and uses Web apps.

Admittedly, a Chrome book can be a remarkably nice, clean, uncluttered experience compared to your average Windows PC, which often come loaded with unnecessary software. Chrome books also avoid some of the security risks that affect PCs.

But if you had to pick between two practically identical computers, one with Chrome OS and one with Windows for just $20 more, would that uncluttered experience be worth leaving your Windows apps behind? That's a real choice in

Windows computers generally have just as much battery life, too? But battery life is one thing that the Chrome team finally figured out this year with machines like the Asus Chrome book Flip, which manages up to 12 hours on a charge.

Meanwhile, with its new Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft has shown the promise of going all-in with a single software platform. Windows 10 on PCs, Windows 10 on Xbox One (soon), Windows 10 on HoloLens (once it debuts) and Windows 10 on smartphones so it would have one big OS .Their devices instead of having two like Google and apple has one for the smartphones and one for laptops.

Moving back to Chrome OS Okay, Theirs has been a significant hit in the educational market. Future source consulting reports that Chrome books made up 49 percent of all devices shipped to K-12 schools in the United States last year, handily beating out Apple's iPad. According to a Gartner analysis, educators accounted for as many as 72 percent of all Chrome book sales in 2014.

Why? It's pretty simple: Chrome books are basically the perfect laptops for schoolchildren. They're not only simple and cheap, but totally interchangeable, because all their data syncs with Google's servers. You can hand a kid any Chrome book, they can log into their account, and all their schoolwork will be right there. It doesn't matter if some other kid used that laptop previously. They're also fairly secure compared to older Windows laptops, since they automatically download updates, and there aren't any malicious apps that students can download to the system.
