Things you may or may not know about Google

A few thing’s you may or may not know about google

Google history started  at a 5,000-watt radio station in Fresno, California and was two guys from the university of Stanford. Larry Page and Sergey Brin, both entered the Stanford computer science graduate program and began to collaborate. By 1998 both of them were trying to sell their technology to yahoo and other search portal’s but they had no takers. So they both made up a business plan and found a major investor in the form of Andy Bechtolsheim, one of the founders of Bechtolsheim wrote Larry Page and Sergey a check for 100,000, and google, inc. Was born.

Since then, Google has continually expanded the size of its website index and introduced additional features and service even their own wireless company and brand such as Motorola and Nexus. Google brand Nexus already has tablet, phones and accessories already out, and the demand for their latest Smartphone the Nexus 5  is already SOLD out.

As of resent google has made more helpful features, service and product that organize information and make it more accessible and more useful for everyone.

As l told you before Google has more than a search engine and most of what l am talking about is on the www.google.com search page when you sign in to Google, ‘’and that my friend is apps’’, google apps, If you don’t know by now google has apps and most of them you can access on the search page of google in the top right side corner theirs helpful and useful apps to collaborate with your search such as google gmail, maps, google drive, google doc and calender you can even set up your own search home page on google and customize your homepage the way you want it with Google.

Google the website is just one product of  Google, Google owns sites such as YouTube and Blogger there are many apps, Smartphone, tablet, computer, tools and much much more than you  think you know.

Google is an American multinational corporation Providing useful  ways and tools for  Internet-related services and products. These include online advertising technologies, search, cloud computing, and software.

The Google mission statement is this as l quote ‘’google’s mission is to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful’’ and to be honest the folk’s at google are allowed to take a little license with their own mission statement; there's no law that say’s you have to lay out all your goal’s and strategies for the public (and competitors),
To uninformed people, it’s also somewhat descriptive of what the company actually does.

Google has another new company called Calico which will be led by Apple chairman Arthur Levinson. In the official public statement, Page explained that the "health and wellbeing" company will focus on "the challenge of ageing and associated diseases in 2004, Google acquired Keyhole, Inc. [87] The start-up company developed a product called Earth Viewer that gave a three-dimensional view of the Earth. Google renamed the service to Google Earth In 2010, Google Energy made its first investment in a renewable energy project, putting $38.8 million into two wind farms in North Dakota.
The company also announced the two locations will generate 169.5 megawatts of power, enough to supply 55,000 homes. The farms, which were developed by NextEra Energy Resources, will reduce fossil fuel use in the region and return profits. On June 5, 2012, Google also announced it acquired Quickoffice, a company widely known for their mobile productivity suite for both yours and Android. In 2011, Google announced Google Wallet, a mobile application for wireless payments.

August 15, Google announced an agreement to acquire Motorola Mobility, based in Libertyville, Illinois, for $40 per share. Both companies’ boards of directors have approved the deal. Google and Motorola Mobility together will accelerate innovation and choice in mobile computing.

Consumers will get better phones at lower prices.
The Motorola Mobility’s patent portfolio will help protect the Android ecosystem. Android, which is open-source software, is vital to compete in the mobile device space, ensuring hardware manufacturers, mobile phone carriers, application developers and consumers all have a choice.

Google is  now buying Skybox Imaging, a satellite imaging company that could improve the Internet giant's maps.
Google said it is buying Skybox for $500 million in cash.

Google also has android, Android is an operating system based on the Linux kernel with a user interface based on direct manipulation, designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as Smartphones and tablet computers.

The operating system uses touch inputs that loosely correspond to real-world actions, like swiping, tapping, pinching, and reverse pinching to manipulate on-screen objects, and a virtual keyboard. Despite being primarily designed for touchscreen inputs, it also has been used in televisions, games consoles, digital cameras, and other electronics.

Google has million of apps available for download and google now have their own social media app that's better than face book to me called google plus where you can follow what friends, family, and interesting people around the world are sharing
- Join communities to explore interests and find people with similar passions
- Automatically back up photos and videos at full resolution
- Bring photos to life with Auto Awesome, including animated GIFs, movies, stories and more.

Bionic Ex-o-ske-le-ton

     Bionic Brain

People with spinal cord injuries don’t move because the brain and the body no longer communicate. Scientists hope to restore motion with a mechanical skeleton controlled by the wearer’s thoughts. It’s a daunting challenge; hundreds of sensors must be implanted in the brain to send commands to the exoskeleton. Signals must also travel in reverse, from touch sensors telling the brain where the body is in space.

Electrodes the width of a human hair are arranged in arrays like bristles on a toothbrush. experiments on monkeys use four arrays to monitor 2,000 neurons. Many more would be needed for a human to walk.
Multiple electrode arrays send signal to a central processing unit in a helmet, which compiles signals into coherent commands.

The commands are transmitted wirelessly to a backpack computer that coordinates the complex motions need to walk.

Tiny motors on the exoskeleton pick up computer commands to move the joint and limbs.
Touch sensors provide feedback from the environment, to sense where the body is in space, the exoskeleton is dotted with sensors that pick up texture, movement and pressure through a plastic covering, much like a touch screen.

These signals are transmitted back to the brain.

Chrome Browser and Chrome OS Explicated

Note on Thursday, it seemed like the inevitable was finally coming to pass. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that by 2017 the two operating systems would largely become one, Google android and chrome OS combining as one.
Hello, what’s up people in this blog l will be explaining
what is chrome OS and Chrome web browser so let’s get started.
Google Chrome web browser

  Is a freeware web
browser developed by google and uses a web kit. People who are new to google
chrome sometimes get confused when they start using it for the first time. Note
just remember google chrome is a web browser that's just it, like Internet Explorer.
And when you do anything on your web browser you can do on your tablet, phone
or any other device that support google chrome. Google have apps like Gmail,
google plus, and google doc etc., All these you can access from the google
chrome browser itself.  As of march 2014
about 43 percent of the world use google chrome browsers making it the most
widely used web browser in the world. Customize and personalize your browser by
installing web apps, themes and extensions. Sign in to chrome and take your web
browser, with you on your computer, phone and tablet anywhere you go. There’s
chrome for iPhone available for iOS 6.0 or later and chrome for Android devices
available on 4.0, ice cream sandwich or later.

Google Chrome for iPhone if you need to step away from your
computer you can still access the tabs you have open on your computer on your
iPhone or android devices. Sync your bookmarks on all of your devices. Quickly
go to your favorite sites, no matter where you are. Spend less time typing.
Visit a site on your computer and chrome will auto complete its address in the Omni
box on your phone or tablet. Send pages from your computer to your iPhone or iPad
or android devices with a single click. You can read them on the go, even when
you're offline. Automatically sign in to google sites, like Gmail, google drive
google plus and all google apps fast and seamlessly. Sync your password across
all of your devices to sign into your favorite sites faster. Browse the web in
incognito mode without leaving your history behind on your device.

Chrome OS is an operating system made by Google the operating system provides a fast, simple, and more secure computing experience for people who spend most of their time on the web in a web browser.
Chrome OS is on laptops and Google chrome books. People who are new to Google chrome
sometimes get confused with the Chrome OS and the Chrome Web browser. Google
based the look of Chrome OS, its operating system for Web-based applications,
on the Chrome Web browser. But just like On the Apple front, the Cupertino
Company insists that it still makes sense to have two different computer
platforms. It's got the super-simple iOS for touchscreen smartphones and
tablets. Then there's the more powerful OS X for desktop computing pros so
Google has that same process.

Note
just remember Google chrome OS is like Internet Explorer only meant for
laptops.

But for tablets and smartphones theirs chrome web browser that has all
the things you did on the chrome OS laptop sync to your smartphone or tablet
chrome web browser. Chrome was the first major Web browser to combine the
search box and the address bar, a feature that most competitors have since
adopted. It also allows users to sign in with their Google accounts, which
enables them to sync bookmarks and open Web pages across multiple devices. In
2010, Google launched the Chrome Web Store, an online marketplace where users can
buy and install Web-based applications to run inside the browser. All these you can access from the Google chrome browser itself.
These apps are available as either browser extensions or links to websites. When you have Chrome OS on your laptop you can take use of this. The Chrome store available to those with a Chromebook or google Chrome Browser. Google chrome store has been getting better and better with thousands of apps, extension and theme to download and getting made  each day for your desk browser. And l have been looking through the google web
store and the apps are really good just like it’s android mobile app store they
have categories like books, music, games, apps, themes, extensions, offline
apps, business tools, education, entertainment, productivity and many more. They
also already have some apps that can be sync to mobile apps and most of all
your mobile app you can still download on the web store.  The EXIF viewer helps users analyze any
photograph, and provide details about the exposure, camera type, and focal length.

Google has recently launched its ‘Ok Google’ voice search companion for Google
chrome users.
The chrome browser has more to it than that for geek out there they also have
Chrome for Education. Chrome for Education is like the chrome you get when you
download it.You can deploy and manage Chrome for your school or district.
Chrome has it for win8/win7/vista/XP. Chrome's cloud-based management lets you
customize policies and preferences for your students and teachers from the web,
regardless of what device they use. Cloud-based management for desktop OS and
support for Chrome is available for Google Apps customers. If you’re not an
Apps customer and interested in learning more. They also have it for business

several different devices for work. Chrome's cloud-based management lets you
customize policies and preferences for your employees from the web, whether
they're on the company's desktop or personal laptop. Cloud-based management for
desktop OS and support for Chrome is available for Google Apps customers.

And when you do anything on your Chrome OS computer you can
do on any other device that support Google chrome or the chrome browser.

As of march 2014
about 43 percent of the world use Google chrome browsers making it the most
widely used web browser in the world. Customize and personalize your browser by
installing web apps, themes and extensions. Sign in to chrome and take your web
browser, with you on your computer, phone or tablet anywhere you go so when you
use Chrome OS on your laptop in sync automatically to other devise you have

everything you do on your chrome browser on your laptop you can do on other
devise long as it has chrome browser which all device can get .There's chrome
for iPhone available for  iOS 6.0 or
later and chrome for Android devices available on 4.0,ice cream sandwich or
